uPVC back and side doors across East Lancashire

The sensible door. Secure, warm, low maintenance, and a good deal less than a composite for a door nobody sees.

What it is

What the job involves

A uPVC door hung in a REHAU frame, multi point locked, glazed to whatever you want in it. Panelled, half glazed or fully glazed depending on how much light you need in the room behind it. Fitting is usually a morning. The old door and frame come out and go with us, and the reveal is made good before we leave.

Who it suits

Who it is for

Anyone replacing a back door, a side entrance, a utility door or a garage door into the house. If it is your front door, look at the composite range instead, because that is the one people see. If it is a door onto a garden you use a lot, ask about a stable door, which most people do not know is an option.

The range

What we fit

Every door is hung in a REHAU frame, which is the same system behind our windows. Panelled, half glazed and fully glazed, plus stable doors where you want the top open and the bottom shut. Glazing runs the same range as the composite doors, from obscured through bevelled and leaded. Multi point locking throughout, and any of the standard colours.

Why Win-Door Fit

Why us for back doors

We will tell you when the cheaper thing is the right thing. A lot of firms will sell you a composite for a door that faces your bins, and it is a waste of money. Same fitter, same frame system, same guarantee, same care taken over making it look right. It is just the door that costs less.

04

We fit it

Clean, tidy, and gone when we said we would be. Your FENSA certificate follows in the post.

Where we cover

Where we work

We are based on Higher Causeway in Barrowford and most of our work lands within half an hour of the door.

Across Pendle that means Nelson, Colne, Brierfield, Barnoldswick and Earby, along with Barrowford itself. In Burnley we cover the town and out to Padiham. The Ribble Valley takes us to Clitheroe, Whalley and Read, where a lot of the housing stock is stone built and needs a sash or flush casement rather than a standard opener.

Westward we work throughout Blackburn with Darwen, and across Hyndburn into Accrington and Great Harwood. Rossendale brings us Rawtenstall and Haslingden.

We also travel south into North Manchester, taking in Rochdale, Bury, Middleton, Heywood and Ramsbottom.

If you are somewhere not on that list but roughly in that circle, ask. We would rather tell you yes or no on the phone than have you wondering.

We fit back and side doors right across East Lancashire and down into North Manchester. If you are somewhere near the edge of that, ask rather than assume.

Questions

The questions we actually get asked

Should I get uPVC or composite on the back?

uPVC, nine times out of ten. A composite is worth the money on a front door because it is the one people see and touch. On a back door you are paying extra for something that faces your garden.

Can I have a cat flap fitted?

Yes, but it wants specifying before the door is made rather than cut in afterwards. Cutting a panel later is possible and it is never as neat.

Do you do stable doors?

Yes, and more people would if they knew. Top open, bottom shut, which is exactly what you want with a kitchen door in summer or a dog that would rather be outside.

Is a uPVC door secure enough?

Multi point locking as standard, the same as the composites. The difference between the two is weight, insulation and appearance, not whether the lock works.
