I would highly recommend win-door fit, they are great, from start to finish I experienced much professionalism, the owner Charlie did an initial consultation with me, he was very patient and helpful, he then worked very hard to fit me in just before Christmas. I was so impressed with the end result … I had also been worried about costings, and being honest I had 3 other quotes before Charlie’s - his was the best one, so not only was I impressed by the quality but also the price difference too.

This is how windows can make a huge difference to a home. Our previous windows had been installed very badly and were of a very poor quality. After an initial consultation with Charlie we had a plan. Charlie and his team were punctual and kept us in the loop at each step of the project, they worked hard to ensure as little disruption to our daily routine as possible, at the end of each day they cleaned up including sweeping the drive where they had been working. The finished job is amazing and I am sure will make a huge benefit to our lives. Five stars all the way. Brian and Michele.

I have recently just had new windows fitted at my home, by Win-Door Fit and I am very pleased with the end result. when Daniel and Charlie came to measure the windows they were both very helpful in which style windows & colours I could chose, as there are many options. I recieved the quote within a day or two 😄 The quote was reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend them to anyone wanting new windows & Doors they are both very tidy when working, even when they have two dogs constantly yapping 🤣 x

We are based on Higher Causeway in Barrowford and most of our work lands within half an hour of the door.
Across Pendle that means Nelson, Colne, Brierfield, Barnoldswick and Earby, along with Barrowford itself. In Burnley we cover the town and out to Padiham. The Ribble Valley takes us to Clitheroe, Whalley and Read, where a lot of the housing stock is stone built and needs a sash or flush casement rather than a standard opener.
Westward we work throughout Blackburn with Darwen, and across Hyndburn into Accrington and Great Harwood. Rossendale brings us Rawtenstall and Haslingden.
We also travel south into North Manchester, taking in Rochdale, Bury, Middleton, Heywood and Ramsbottom.
If you are somewhere not on that list but roughly in that circle, ask. We would rather tell you yes or no on the phone than have you wondering.
Questions
Anywhere from a few hundred pounds for a single opener to several thousand for a full house. It depends on size, the number of openers, the glazing specification and whether the existing frames come out easily. We will not quote a figure over the phone, because a number given blind is either wrong or designed to get us through your door. Charlie measures, then you get one written price.
It means we are registered to self-certify that our installations meet Building Regulations. Every job we complete is notified to your local authority and you get a certificate. Without it you are the one responsible for proving compliance, which becomes a problem when you sell.
A single door is usually a morning. A typical three bedroom house of windows takes one to two days. We will tell you which before we start, so you know what to expect and can plan the week around it.
Some, briefly. Taking old frames out is not a delicate operation. We sheet up, we clear as we go, and we take every scrap of the old units away with us. You should not be finding bits of sealant in a flowerbed a week later.
Close to it. Seven colours are standard and another thirty four are available as bespoke finishes, specified against RAL and BS references. The exterior is coloured and the interior is white. Bespoke colours are not held in stock, so they add to the lead time.
Yes. Bi-folds up to seven panes and five and a half metres across, plus slim frame sliding doors and French doors in both composite and uPVC. Worth a conversation about which suits the opening, because the wrong choice on a narrow room is an expensive mistake.
A composite door has a solid insulated core with a glass reinforced skin over it. It is heavier, more secure, better insulated and looks closer to timber. A uPVC door is lighter and cheaper and does a perfectly good job on a back or side entrance. Most people put a composite on the front and uPVC on the back.
Usually. If you are replacing a few rather than the lot, bring us a photograph and we will tell you honestly whether it will match or whether it will nag at you every time you look at it.
Conservation areas, yes, and we work in them regularly across Clitheroe, Whalley and Barrowford. What you can put in varies by street, so we will tell you at the survey what is likely to be approved before you commit to anything. Listed buildings are a different matter. They need listed building consent, and in most cases a conservation officer will want timber replaced with timber rather than uPVC. We are happy to look and to be honest with you about what is realistic, but we would rather tell you no at the survey than fit something that has to come back out.
Ten years, and it is insurance backed. That last part matters more than the length. A guarantee is only worth the company standing behind it, so ours is underwritten by an insurer rather than resting on us still being here in 2036. We intend to be, but you should not have to take that on trust.
