Windows and doors fitted across Great Harwood

Great Harwood sits in the same brick belt as Accrington, so the terraces here are red brick under Welsh slate rather than the sandstone you get across the rest of Pendle. Brick openings mean segmental or flat arch heads, which behave differently to a dressed stone surround and want a different approach at the reveal. Beyond the Victorian streets there is a good deal of inter-war and post-war semi, which brings bays and a straightforward job by comparison. Two towns three miles apart and almost nothing in common structurally.
