Working in Whalley
Whalley is a village with a genuine medieval core, not a shrunk down mill town, and the difference matters. Twenty four listed entries sit inside the conservation area, which has been designated since 1972 and includes the abbey ruins over a scheduled ancient monument. The parish council's own guidance is that windows and doors should be replaced like for like in timber where possible. We will tell you that at the measure rather than after you have ordered, and we would rather lose the job than put something in that has to come back out.
