What the job involves
Old windows out, new ones in, usually in a day or two depending on how many. We take the existing frames out whole rather than smashing them, make good around the reveal, and take every scrap away with us. You get a FENSA certificate through the post afterwards, which is what proves the work meets Building Regulations. Most people are surprised how quick it is. The mess is real but brief.

Who it is for
Anyone whose windows have blown, misted, stopped closing properly, or are simply old enough that you can feel the room through them. Also worth it if you are selling, because failed units are the first thing a buyer notices. If your frames are sound and it is only the glass that has gone, say so, because a glazing upgrade may be cheaper.
The range
Windows built to a specification, not a price
Every window we fit is built on the REHAU TOTAL70 system. Seventy millimetres of profile depth, multi-chambered, and capable of a U value as low as 0.8 W/m²K when triple glazed and argon filled.
For context, Building Regulations currently ask for 1.6 W/m²K. We fit to twice that standard because the difference shows up on a bill every winter for the next twenty years, not on the day of installation.
You get the full range:
casement, flush sash that sits true to the frame, tilt and turn, fully reversible for upstairs cleaning, bay and bow, and vertical sliding sash for period properties where anything else would look wrong.
Twenty five laminated finishes, from Simply White through Chartwell Green and Anthracite to the woodgrains.
Every installation is FENSA registered, which means it is certified against Building Regulations and the certificate lands with you rather than sitting in a filing cabinet somewhere.

Where we cover
Where we work
We are based on Higher Causeway in Barrowford and most of our work lands within half an hour of the door.
Across Pendle that means Nelson, Colne, Brierfield, Barnoldswick and Earby, along with Barrowford itself. In Burnley we cover the town and out to Padiham. The Ribble Valley takes us to Clitheroe, Whalley and Read, where a lot of the housing stock is stone built and needs a sash or flush casement rather than a standard opener.
Westward we work throughout Blackburn with Darwen, and across Hyndburn into Accrington and Great Harwood. Rossendale brings us Rawtenstall and Haslingden.
We also travel south into North Manchester, taking in Rochdale, Bury, Middleton, Heywood and Ramsbottom.

Questions
The questions we actually get asked
How much does a new window cost?
Anywhere from a few hundred pounds for a single opener to several thousand for a full house. It depends on size, how many open, the glazing specification, and whether the old frames come out easily. We will not quote over the phone, because a number given blind is either wrong or designed to get us through your door.
How long will it take?
A typical three bedroom house is one to two days. One or two windows is a morning. We will tell you which before we start, so you know what to expect and can plan the week around it.
Will you make a mess?
Some, briefly. Taking old frames out is not a delicate operation. We sheet up, clear as we go, and take the old units away with us. You should not be finding bits of sealant in a flowerbed a week later.
Can you match my existing windows?
Usually. If you are replacing a few rather than the lot, send us a photograph and we will tell you honestly whether it will match or whether it will nag at you every time you look at it.
What does FENSA approved mean?
It means we are registered to certify that our own installations meet Building Regulations. Every job is notified to your local authority and you get a certificate. Without one, you are the one who has to prove compliance, which becomes a problem when you sell.
