Composite front doors across East Lancashire
Twenty six styles, forty one colours, and samples brought to your door before you commit to any of it.
What it is
What you are buying
A composite door has a solid insulated core with a moulded skin over it, so it behaves like timber without any of the maintenance. It is heavier than uPVC, better insulated, and considerably harder to get through. Every door we fit is Document Q approved as standard and hung in a REHAU frame. Fitting is usually a morning, and the old door goes with us.
Who it suits
Who it is for
Anyone replacing a front door, and particularly anyone doing it for the look rather than because the old one failed. It is the one part of your house every visitor touches. If it is a back door or a side entrance, a uPVC door does the same job for less, and we would rather tell you that than sell you the expensive one.
The range
Twenty six door styles. Forty one colours.
Your front door is the one part of your house that every visitor touches. It is worth more thought than most people give it.
We fit composite doors across the full range, from traditional four panel styles through to flush contemporary designs with long bar handles. Solid core, glass reinforced skin, multi point locking, and Document Q approved as standard, which matters if you are building or extending.
Colour runs to seven standard finishes and thirty four bespoke, specified by RAL and BS reference rather than a vague name on a chart. Glazing is chosen separately, from bevelled and leaded designs to sandblast and modern art glass.
The exterior face is coloured and the interior comes in white, so the door can be bold on the street and quiet in your hallway.

Why Win-Door Fit
Why us for doors
We bring samples to you. Nobody should choose a front door off a screen, and colour on a monitor is not colour on a house. Charlie will come out with the range, talk through what suits the property, and leave you to think about it. The door then gets fitted by the same person, which is not true of most places you will ring.

What happens
Four steps, no surprises
- 01
You get in touch
Call, or send a message. Tell us roughly what you are after.
- 02
Charlie comes out
The person who quotes the job is the person who fits it. He measures properly, talks through the options, and brings samples.
- 03
You get a written quote
Itemised, fixed, and it stays fixed. No day-of-install extras.
- 04
We fit it
Clean, tidy, and gone when we said we would be. Your FENSA certificate follows in the post.
Where we cover
Where we work
We are based on Higher Causeway in Barrowford and most of our work lands within half an hour of the door.
Across Pendle that means Nelson, Colne, Brierfield, Barnoldswick and Earby, along with Barrowford itself. In Burnley we cover the town and out to Padiham. The Ribble Valley takes us to Clitheroe, Whalley and Read, where a lot of the housing stock is stone built and needs a sash or flush casement rather than a standard opener.
Westward we work throughout Blackburn with Darwen, and across Hyndburn into Accrington and Great Harwood. Rossendale brings us Rawtenstall and Haslingden.
We also travel south into North Manchester, taking in Rochdale, Bury, Middleton, Heywood and Ramsbottom.
If you are somewhere not on that list but roughly in that circle, ask. We would rather tell you yes or no on the phone than have you wondering.
We fit doors right across East Lancashire and down into North Manchester. If you are somewhere near the edge of that, ask rather than assume.

Questions
The questions we actually get asked
Can I get a door in any colour?
Close to it. Seven are standard and another thirty four are bespoke finishes, specified against RAL and BS references rather than a vague name on a chart. The outside is coloured and the inside comes in white, so the door can be bold on the street and quiet in your hallway. Bespoke colours are not held in stock and add to the lead time.
What is the difference between composite and uPVC?
A composite door has a solid insulated core with a reinforced skin. It is heavier, more secure, better insulated and looks closer to timber. A uPVC door is lighter and cheaper and does a perfectly good job on a back or side entrance. Most people put a composite on the front and uPVC on the back.
How secure are they?
Multi point locking as standard and Document Q approved, which is the Building Regulations security standard for new dwellings. Selected styles are triple glazed and laminated. The honest answer is that a determined person gets through anything eventually, but these are not the doors they pick.
Can I see one before I order?
Yes, and you should. We bring the samples out. Choosing a front door off a photograph is how people end up with a colour they did not expect and a style that does not suit the house.
How long does a door take to fit?
Usually a morning. The lead time before that is the longer wait, particularly on a bespoke colour, and we will tell you what it is when you order rather than after.

We've recently had our new front door fitted by Charlie and his team and it looks AMAZING!! Before we approached Charlie we'd had another quote from a "reputable" company but they were charging an extortionate amount that made us question the price. So when we reached out to Charlie we were shocked!! Thanks to Charlie's quote he's helped us save £1000's while still maintaining the quality! 100% recommend him and Win-door fit to anyone interested in replacing their doors or windows!
